News & Notes 2/9/10

Merit Badges at scouts tonight.  Make sure that you have done your work to stay caught up with the counselor.

This Sunday (2/14) is Scout Sunday at Epworth.  We will be meeting outside the church at 10:30am.  Come show the congregation that we appreciate their support.  We are still looking for at least one reader for the Sunday service.  If you are interested, please let me know tonight.

The troop will be having a service project at the NC food bank on 2/21.  We will meet at the church @ 11:30 to go over to the Food Bank.  We will return to the church by 3:30.  I will also need some adult help with this to handle transportation.

The next 10 mile hike will be held on 2/27 at a place still to be determined.

The next campout is 3/5 - 7.  This will be a split campout with some of the troop going to Holly Shelter to work on Environmental Science and the rest of the troop going on a backpacking trip.  We need to know on 2/16 if you are planning on going camping with the troop and which trip you are planning on going on.  Please let your patrol leader know before 2/16 if you are interested in going or not.

Money is due for Philmont and Seabase.  See the separate emails detailing that information.  There is a Philmont meeting tonight directly following the scout meeting.

There is an OA Chapter Meeting on 2/18.  If you are interested in going and need a ride, please let me know.  OA Elections are coming up on 4/20.  If you are interested in running for elections, please make sure you have enough camping recorded.  You need 15 Nights camping including (only) one long term camp.
